The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific writer for children and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
A spokesman for the company commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour directed at women.
The firm has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for the charitable sector and arts community.
This development follows the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive last fall.
