The Two Sergeants Instants Prior to the Aggressor Was Tasered

One ranking policeman who jumped to the assistance of a partner that got attacked by a knifeman received the King's Commendation for Courage.

Sgt Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown after he held a weapon to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.

The department reported Sergeant Foster used his bare hands to stop his colleague's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics arrived.

This most recent honor follows subsequent to the three officers received departmental Courage Honors in October 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the regional officer association in April 2024.

They were also awarded a Area Valor Recognition in mid-2024.

"The responses of all three officers ultimately rescued each other and ensured no bystanders endured any harm."

Brown received a sentence to an psychiatric detention in early 2024, according to the department.
