Operations Recommence at Edinburgh Airport After Substantial ATC System Failure
Air travel have resumed at Edinburgh Airport following a significant technical issue at the control tower halted all operations.
Every arrival and departure were stopped due to an technical fault that occurred at about 08:30.
A number of travelers were left waiting in aircraft on the tarmac while the issue persisted.
Services Recommence with Ongoing Delays
Officials announced at 10:40 that services were back online, and expressed gratitude to passengers for their "understanding and cooperation".
That said, significant disruption are likely to continue throughout the day. Flights to London Gatwick, Bristol, Amsterdam and Frankfurt have been axed, with numerous other services experiencing delays.
Officials had initially projected that a significant number of movements could be disrupted.
"Passengers are advised to get in touch with their carrier for the current status on their individual travel plans," officials reiterated.

Travelers are still being urged to confirm the details of their flight before heading to the airport as backlogs are cleared.
