Homages Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Are Sealed.

Over a fortnight subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the couple.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt ready to express about his personal sorrow.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the film, adding that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, saying: "To say that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He finished with a quote from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Colleague and Comrade

In a different tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the main character.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he grasped the human predicament of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge ruled to prevent the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, after an appeal from the local authorities.

A judicial mandate placed a restriction on the files to prohibit the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of murder, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the deaths, public personalities shared varying responses.

Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative claims that were met with immediate backlash by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the detractors recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an associate ought to have acted when the decision to comment on the tragedy was made.
