Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday night. The fighter was part of a serious road collision near Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that claimed the lives of two of his valued colleagues.
Healing from Light Wounds
The boxer had been receiving medical attention while recovering from minor injuries, his promoter confirmed on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.
“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.
Remembering the Victims
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a strength and conditioning coach. Omotoso added that the champion was filled with sorrow and overcome with emotion over the loss of his two dear friends.”
The news of his discharge comes as the global fight fans had expressed condolences for the star in the following the terrible crash.
